Basically AMD Athlon has 2 cores which means dual core but actually it has another 2 core as locked. So you can unlock the other dual core, so dual + dual = quad core. Yes, you will get four core for just pay to dual core.
The major plus point is the competitor Intel has dual core but can not unlock to quad cuz Intel offers only Intel dual core. When compare to Intel dual core processors you can afford AMD $40 cheaper which means you can save at least 2000 or 3000 INR. So I Prefer this processor instead of Intel dual core processor.
